Former Sen. Buster Brown

Born in Mercedes, Texas; attended public schools in Mercedes; attended Texas State University and received a degree from Texas A&M Kingsville; Taught at Mary Carroll HS in Corpus Christi; Received JD degree from University of Texas School of Law; briefing attorney for Texas Court of Criminal Appeals; Prosecuted at Brazoria County DA's Office; practiced law; served in the Texas Senate for twenty-two years; teaches at University of Texas School of Law. Currently has legislative consulting firm with daughter, Jennifer Emerson; married to Jill Kerr Brown, three children and six grandchildren; member of Tarrytown United Methodist Church; resides in Tarrytown, Austin, Texas.
