Jace Houston
Jace Houston is the General Counsel and Risk & Compliance Director for Freese and Nichols, a privately owned professional planning, consulting, and engineering firm celebrating over 130 years of serving clients implementing sustainable water and infrastructure projects. He has extensive experience in a broad range of legal, legislative, and policy issues and has overseen every aspect of planning and implementation for major water supply and infrastructure projects. Jace is a member of the FNI corporate leadership team and serves as a senior advisor to FNI clients implementing large-scale projects.
Prior to joining FNI, Jace served as general manager for the San Jacinto River Authority, overseeing the agency’s 170+ employees, $140M+ annual budget, and over $800M in total assets.
Jace is a board member of the Texas Water Foundation, a policy and educational organization that hosts the Texas Water Leaders program, the Texas Runs on Water campaign, and the annual Texas Rainmaker Award dinner. He has also served on the board of directors of the Texas Water Conservation Association and as a board member and chairman of the TWCA Risk Management Fund.
Mr. Houston received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
